Under specified conditions, when the oil is heated to a certain temperature, the mixture of oil vapor and surrounding air will flash upon contact with the flame. The lowest flash temperature is called the flash point value of the oil.

The fully automatic open flash point and ignition point tester is manufactured according to the standard methods of GB267 "Determination of Flash Point and Ignition Point of Petroleum Products (Open Cup Method)" and GB3536 "Determination of Flash Point and Ignition Point of Petroleum Products (Cleveland Open Cup Method)". It is an ideal instrument for open flash point testing in petroleum, chemical, power, environmental protection, railway, scientific research and other departments.
